A revenue estate designated under the Sindh Land Revenue Act of 1967 is referred to as “Deh”. Karachi is divided into seven districts, each of which has its own Deh. There are 102 Dehs in total in Karachi.
Karachi Central District Deh
The segmentation of the Karachi division formed the central district in 2011. Sindh government divided the towns of Karachi’s central district, Liaqutabad, North Nazimabad, Gulberg, and New Karachi.

Karachi East District Deh
In 1972, the district of East was established. The district was abrogated and split into four towns in 2000. A section of Karachi East district is known as Gulzar-e-Hijri. Earlier, it was managed as a section of the Gulshan Town borough, which was eradicated in 2011. Gulzar-e-Hijri is located in the District East under the new local government system.
